Transit Frequency Optimization in Bi-modal Networks Using Differential Evolution Algorithm

چکیده
This study proposes a bi-level optimization model for the transit frequency setting problem in bi-modal networks. The objective of upper-level is to obtain solution set bus line frequencies that provide minimum total travel cost car and users. Differential Evolution (DE) algorithm employed determine optimal headways given route structure. lower-level congested multi-modal user equilibrium assignment model, which considers interactions flows, determining joint mode/route preferences network users, flows. developed tested on Mandl's benchmark evaluate its performance applicability. comparative experiments demonstrate proposed leads reductions transportation costs. Also, results numerous runs show DE performs well finding similar sets independent optimizations.
